The Ripper strikes again

A tattlecrime.com exclusive

By Freddie Lounds

After a lengthy period of inactivity the Chesapeake Ripper has struck again.

His latest victim was a eighteen year old girl named Abigail Hobbes.

Miss Hobbes was found with her throat slit at the home of noted psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Also found at Dr. Lecter’s home were FBI Assistant Director Jack Crawford, Special Agent Will Graham, and Dr. Alana Bloom. All three were suffering from serious injuries but were alive. There were signs of a struggle in the kitchen and one of the second floor windows was smashed. Judging by the glass surrounding her, it appeared that Dr. Bloom fell or was pushed from that window.

Unsurprising to this reporter, Dr. Lecter was nowhere to be found when authorities arrived on the scene. It was undetermined whether or not he was injured.

Police and FBI thoroughly searched the Lecter residence. As expected there was blood from all the victims. There also was a fifth blood trace found that was later matched to Hannibal Lecter.

His involvement in the gruesome events is still unclear at this time. At least to local law enforcement. TattleCrime has learned that the largest samples of Lecter’s blood were found on a linoleum knife that was determined to be the weapon  used to stab Will Graham and on the clothing of Jack Crawford. A second knife was found at the scene but it only contained the blood of Abigail Hobbes.

Dr. Lecter is considered a person of interest in this case and an APB has been issued.  TattleCrime will keep you updated on the story as more information becomes available.

Included with the article were pictures of the bloody knife and the crime scene.

Marseille, France

Dr. Hannibal Lecter closed his tablet and set it on the table next to him. He sipped from a glass of red wine and shook his head. “You’re still being very naughty, miss Lounds” he said to himself. “That will not do at all.” He wondered briefly if he had made a mistake letting her rudeness pass when he had first met her, and regretted that Will hadn’t been able to get the job done.

Bedelia Du Maurier walked across the patio and sat down in the chair next to Hannibal’s. She smiled at him and picked up her own wine glass. Hannibal smiled back and hoped he hadn’t made another misjudgment this time.
